Product Description

The Murata GRM033C71C104KE14D is a high-density multilayer ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) rated at 0.1 µF (100 nF) and 16 V DC. It uses an X7S dielectric with a ±10% (K) tolerance and comes in an ultra-small 0201 surface-mount package-ideal for high-density PCB layouts. This non-polar capacitor is commonly used for decoupling, bypassing and general filtering.
X7S is a Class-II ceramic material that offers a high capacitance-to-volume ratio and a wide operating temperature range (−55°C to +125°C). However, compared with C0G/NP0 types, X7S exhibits larger temperature drift and DC-bias sensitivity, so effective capacitance can decrease under applied DC voltage. The 0201 package suits space-constrained applications such as smartphones, wearables and compact consumer electronics, but requires precise assembly control (solder paste printing, reflow profile and inspection). The part is RoHS-compliant with standard solderable terminations. If capacitance stability and tight tolerance are critical for your design, evaluate the X7S behavior under operating conditions or consider C0G/NP0 or alternative dielectrics and package sizes as substitutes.
